Every two years (on odd numbered years) the club puts on a gala ice show. Skaters from CanSkate through Senior perform individually, and in small and large groups under the spotlights.
The gala is a big production that requires coach and parent volunteers to help make the whole production work but it's a fantastic evening of skating that is not soon forgotten by the participants.

Minto Summer Figure Skating Camp provides campers with a full day of activities that include:
While figure skating is primarily an individual activity, Summer Figure Skating Camp is a great opportunity for skaters to build friendships with other kids who share their love for skating while working on their skills and having some summer-time fun.

The Minto Skating Club Annual Golf tournament was held for the first time in 2016 and has been growing ever since.
It is held annually at the end of May or early June and is a great opportunity for skaters and non-skaters alike to get involved in supporting the club.
The event is a fund raising event for the club with a portion of the profits going to support a local charity.

Skaters are encouraged to do off-ice training, which may include Pilates, ballet, yoga, weight training, ballroom dancing (particularly for ice dancers) or other activities. The amount and type of off-ice training depends on the skater’s needs and the coach’s recommendations. Off-ice sessions are included as part of the regular skating program: details of times and levels are provided on the Ice Schedule and Registration Form. |
